May 2026 Lula Commerce Product Update

May was about giving retailers and their finance teams direct, self-serve access to the data they've always needed but rarely had at their fingertips. We've reimagined the Insights experience with AI-driven chat and a unified view of omnichannel analytics, store operations, and sales performance. And we've launched two new dashboards, Reconciliation and Payouts, that put critical financial data directly in the hands of the finance and accounting teams who actually need it.

Here's a recap of what's new:

📊 New Insights and Reporting

The Analytics page has been renamed to Insights and is now embedded directly inside Lula Manager. It's a self-serve, AI-powered analytics hub: ask a question in plain English and get an instant chart or table, explore prebuilt views across sales, operations, customers, and catalog, and build exactly the report you need. Every result can be pinned to a personal dashboard and emailed to your team on a schedule, so the numbers come to you instead of the other way around.

  • AI assistant for your most niche data questions: ask things like "which stores have the highest revenue in the past week?" or "show me the highest velocity items that have been marked OoS in the last 7 days ranked by sales volume" and get an instant chart or table, with the option to see the exact query behind it. No more data teams to help you get the insights that drive operational changes.
  • Prebuilt analytics across your business: Sales Performance, Operations, Customers, and Catalog views with at-a-glance KPIs, period-over-period trends, and heatmaps for sales density, location performance, and product affinity.
  • Powerful filtering and drill-down: slice any view by date range, sales channel, and a cascading state → city → store selection to go from company-wide totals to a single location in seconds.
  • Custom report builder: pick a dataset, choose your columns, add filters and group-by aggregations, visualize as a table or chart, and export to CSV.
  • Build-your-own dashboards: pin any AI answer or report to a personal dashboard to keep your most important metrics in one place.
  • Scheduled email subscriptions: have dashboard snapshots delivered to your team daily, weekly, or monthly, complete with embedded charts and CSV attachments.

💵 New Financials Dashboards

Financials → Reconciliation Dashboard

Reconciling delivery revenue used to mean chasing statements across DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub, and Lula Direct, then stitching them together by hand. The new Reconciliation page gives finance and accounting teams a single, self-serve view of every monthly revenue-share statement, total sales, blended rev-share rate, and what's owed, broken down by store and all the way down to individual transactions. Pick a period, see the numbers reconcile, review transaction logs, and export exactly what you need for your books.

  • Monthly period selector: instantly switch between payout periods, defaulting to the most recent.
  • At-a-glance metrics: total transactions, total sales, blended revenue-share %, and total revenue share for the whole company.
  • Per-store breakdown: expandable rows showing sales and order counts split across DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub, and Lula Direct.
  • Full transaction ledger: every order in the period with channel, fees, taxes, and adjustments, filterable by store, channel, and status, and sortable on any column.
  • One-click Stripe invoice access: open the period's invoice directly, with amount and payment status front and center.
  • CSV export everywhere: download the store breakdown or the full transaction detail for your own records and accounting workflows.

Financials → Payouts Dashboard

The new Payouts page brings every delivery channel's weekly payout reports into one self-serve view, so finance and accounting teams can see exactly what each platform deposited and what made up that number, without anyone forwarding files. Pick a date range, drill into any store, and export precisely what you need for your books and bank reconciliation. Learn more here.

  • A tab for every channel: DoorDash, Uber Eats, and GrubHub, each with its payout cadence and deposit schedule spelled out so you always know when funds should land.
  • Flexible date filtering: defaults to the last 7 days, switch to the last 30, or set a custom range to match any pay period or audit window.
  • Full payout detail: every payout with net deposit, subtotal sales, commissions, taxes, fees, and adjustments, showing the exact line items each platform reports.
  • At-a-glance totals: total net payout, payout count, and total sales for the selected range, right at the top.
  • Consistent store identification & fast filtering: canonical store names alongside Site ID and Lula Store ID, with search and filters to pull up any store or location in seconds.
  • CSV export on every channel: download any platform's payouts for your records, bank reconciliation, and accounting workflows.

What Else Is New

Alongside the Insights and Financials work, May shipped a set of focused improvements across onboarding, catalog management, and authoring tools, each one removing a small piece of friction that adds up over time.

🎫 Smarter Promotion Authoring: Build promos with confidence. DoorDash promotion limits are validated as you build, so every promo is partner-ready by the time you launch. BuyXGetY discounts apply per item, matching what shoppers see at checkout. And separate Create and Edit flows keep changes deliberate and your work protected.

⭐ A Sharper Merchandising Workflows for Lula Direct: Featured Sections now support open-ended scheduling. Run a Section indefinitely by leaving the end date and time empty. And Featured Sections and Banners share a consistent editing experience.

📥 Manage your catalog across every store in one place: The new Items view shows your full product catalog across every store in a single view, so you don't have to jump store-by-store to make updates. Open the Sync Run Detail on any catalog update to see exactly what changed, down to the individual item

The Bigger Picture

The throughline this month is access. The data that lives inside the platform, what's selling, where, on which channel, at what margin, with what's actually been paid out, should be available to the teams who need it, in the format they need, without anyone having to ask. Insights, Reconciliation, and Payouts each tackle that from a different angle, and together they move the platform meaningfully closer to a complete, self-serve operating layer for convenience retail.
